How about a Massage?
Massage is said to be the oldest form of therapy practiced on the body. The different types of massage and the various techniques come fromtraditional beliefs of the ancient Greek and Rome, ancient India and China. Aveda's Denver massage school interprits each form of massasge into a moderen and natural balance of amazing technique.
Ancient Egyptian tombs have been discovered to be covered with images of figures being massaged. According to traditional Indian medicine, therapeutic massage was performed using aromatherapy oils and spices for their healing properties. Even Greek and Roman heroes - like the great Julius Caesar - received daily massages to treat nerve pain. The Aveda Colorado massage school teaches each student the many techniques and trdaes of all kinds of massage and enables them to use them with a natural skill and products.
In Western culture the most practiced form of massage is the Swedish massage. Swedish masseuses were thought to have borrowed many of their techniques from traditional China, Egypt, Greece, and Rome masseuses. A variety of the most effective massage techniques have also been incorporated into other complementary therapies - aromatherapy, Reiki, reflexology, Rolfing, Amma therapy and osteopathy.
Many of our now popular massage techniques were created in order to heal health conditions. For example, soldiers who fought in World War I were administered massage for nerve damage and to soothe shell shock in western hospitals during the 1930s. Massage is still used today for treating a wide range of ages from babies to seniors - in intensive care, health club, and health clinic and hospital settings. Massage is also perfromed today for stress and liesure. Work and home life can be stressful causing bodily ache and discomfort. A massage can trigger many points of the body and restore relaxation and focus. An dwho wouldn't like being completely relaxed just beacuse they can? Massage is one of the top wellness liesures in the world, and nice relaxing Swedish massage is amazing when lying on the beach in Tahiti on vacation. You're almost certain to find a popular style that suits your body perfectly! The Aveda Denver massage school students have the skills to perform teh best massage you've had on a long tim, or if you've never had one before, Aveda massage school in Denver will take care of you!

Aveda Massage School in Colorado
Massage is a human instinct and response that when we bump or hurt ourselves we rub it and soon the pain goes away. This basic instinct has slowly been developed into a sophisticated healing art and science.
Professional massage is an old healing art, which can help eliminate physical, mental and emotional ailments. The practice begins with the Chinese in 3000 BC.
In 1813, the Royal Central Institute was established in Stockholm, Sweden, where massage movements were studied scientifically and systematised for the first time. This was the most important development in massage in modern times and it is because of this that remedial massage is often called "Swedish".
The Aveda Denver Colorado Massage School, knows and trains the students in many techniques, so whatever aills you they can help!

Just a little story~~~
In Greek mythology, Paris was called to judge who of three goddesses, Aphrodite, Hera, and Pallas Athene, was the fairest. Eris, the goddess of discord, started the trouble when she appeared at a wedding, and threw a golden apple inscribed ‘For the Fairest’. The result was a disrupted wedding and later a war, as Paris abducted Helen to Troy. The gods were unable to make the decision, and Paris' task was not easy. Hera offered him wealth and power, and Athene promised honour and glory, but the ultimate bribe came from Aphrodite: with the promise of Helen, the most beautiful woman on earth, for his wife, Paris ended this beauty contest in favour of Aphrodite.

At Aveda Denver one of the many massage techniques you will learn is that of Aromaology. What is that? The knowledge of Aromaology is that to have mastered Aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being.
Essential oils which are the pure "essence" of a plant, have been found to provide both psychological and physical benefits when used correctly and safely. There are many essential oils.
It is important to note that perfume oils also known as fragrance oils or "fragrances" are not the same as essential oils. Perfume oils and fragrances contain unnatural chemicals and do not provide the therapeutic benefits of essential oils. Unfortunately, many companies improperly use the term aromatherapy on products that contain unnatural and perfume oils, so it's important to look at the ingredient label when seeking true aromatherapy products.
The Benefit of an "Aroma"
Essential oils that are inhaled into the lungs are believed to offer both psychological and physical benefits; not only does the aroma of the natural essential oil stimulate the brain to trigger a reaction, but the natural constituents (naturally occurring chemicals) of the essential oil are drawn into the lungs and can also supply physical benefit.
The Benefit of Physical Application
Oils that are applied to the skin are believed to be absorbed into the bloodstream. The components of the various oils are believed to aid in a variety of health, beauty and hygiene conditions.

Enter a world of wellness and wisdom. Massage therapy is one of the oldest forms of health and wellness. Massage therapy has been used for centuries for relaxation, stimulation and recovery. With Massage therapy it allows you to understand more about yourself and how to take care of yourself in a more complete way. This is also a gift in which you can give back to society, in a healthy, proactive way!
By focusing on the Ancient system of Ayurveda, the Aveda Institute Denver is going to focus on the holistic or “wholistic” approach to Massage Therapy, Guest Interaction and Learning Styles. This best allows us to direct our attention to the true underlying need, weather it be in the classroom with teaching styles, what type of pressure or essential oil to use in the Massage Therapy Treatment or how to educate our Guests on homecare and taking an active role in their own wellness.
Our Massage Therapy Curriculum is set up with the learner in mind. We use an education system called 4mat. This allows for whole brain learning, taking every learning type into consideration whether it is a Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic or Intellectual learner. This allows for more retention and understanding of the information. This teaching style was developed for Harvard Schools and is now implemented in the Aveda network!
Within the Massage Therapy Curriculum, we will be focusing on these areas within your 600 hour massage therapy education: Ayurvedic Philosophy, Aromaology, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Swedish Massage therapy, Deep Tissue massage therapy, Myofacial Release Massage Therapy, Trigger Point Massage Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Reflexology, Polarity, Chakra Balancing, Stretching, Yoga, Body Treatments, Acupressure, Lymphatic Drainage, Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. All of these theories and philosophies will be harnessed in the classroom as well as on our Clinic floor, which will be supervised by highly trained massage therapists.
At the Aveda Institute Denver, we like to bring real life applications to our Future Professionals Education Experience. We allow our FP’s to go through Job Fairs that we host at our Institute. We bring in guest speakers to work with the FP’s ranging from Owners of Spas and resorts, Highly Successful Massage Therapists who are still practicing/teaching, to community projects like Earth Month and the Denver Rescue Mission. We do Spa Tours around the local area and allow for relationships to develop with the FP’s and potential employers, giving us one of the highest placement rates in the country!
Pursue that dream you’ve always wanted of giving back to yourself while giving to those around you! We look forward to hearing from you soon! It’s a Great Day at Aveda!!!!

Massage
is one of the oldest healing arts: Chinese records dating back 3,000 years
document its use; the ancient Hindus, Persians and Egyptians applied forms of
massage for many ailments; and Hippocrates wrote papers recommending the use of
rubbing and friction for joint and circulatory problems. Today, the benefits of
massage are varied and far-reaching. As an accepted part of many physical
rehabilitation programs, massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many
chronic conditions, including low back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high
blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation,
depression, and more. And, as many millions will attest, massage also helps
relieve the stress and tension of everyday living that can lead to disease and
illness. Colorado hosts a great massage school that provides the knowledge for
our next massage therapists. At
Aveda
Denver, you learn how to create wellness through the power of touch in just
a few months. A balanced study of anatomy, physiology, pathology, aromaology, spa treatments
