At the Aveda Denver Institute you have the opportunity to learn and increase your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, deep tissue massage therapy and other techniques as you gain practical experience working with clients. You will work along side instructors and fellow students in a clinical setting under supervision, obtaining extensive hands-on experience. You will also learn how to prepare for the workplace by actually developing your own plan of action for employment at a massage therapy spa. At the Colorado Aveda School of Massage you will refine your massage therapy skills as you expand your understanding of the human body. Exploring case studies will round out your education as you prepare for your new career as a massage therapist. Your progress is evaluated through projects, practical skills and tests. At the Aveda Massage Institute in Colorado the final exam tests your knowledge of the practical skills, theory, anatomy and physiology that you learned in school. Each service you perform for clients are evaluated for your final grade. Upon successful completion of all Aveda School of Massage courses, you will be certified in 600 hours of massage therapy training and you will be ready to begin your career in this growing industry.
